Established in 2015, the company may be young, but the experience goes back decades. The owner first discovered a strong interest in computers while working for a major electronics retailer in the 1980s, a time when PC technology was first emerging. Much time was spent haunting computer stores, building computer systems and tinkering endlessly with the hardware to satisfy a passion to learn everything possible about how it all ticked. It was also a time of constantly evolving technology that offered many challenges and endless learning opportunities for a budding computer nerd.

The following decades were spent in different fields of computer and peripheral diagnostics and repair, software development, IT consulting and other related work. Eventually frustrated by what he considered inefficient traditional approaches to IT service and computer repair that often promoted Band-Aid® solutions, the owner became disenchanted with a service industry mostly content to subject clients to repeat visits and large invoices.

Having seen the benefits of a ground-up approach to building and setting up his own reliable systems over the years, he knew there was a better way to offer technical support services. Thus, JH Computer Services was founded as a different kind of IT support company. Using an approach to service that doesn’t just address problems after they happen, JHCS focusses on preventing the issues that causes them to start and persist in the first place. That cause is most often as a result of poorly configured and maintained equipment. Experience proves that proactive, properly configured and maintained systems are more stable, run with fewer issues and can greatly slash service call frequency and costs while increasing productivity.
